Role - Risk Manager (AML/KYC Project)
Rate - $70.37/HR on W2 (OT past 40 hours = $105.55/HR)
Duration - 4-5 Months (popssible extension)
Location - Miami FL
To manage all end-to-end activities related to the reorganization/expansion of the IPB U.S. CBSU team in Miami, Florida as it expands the scope of the unit's current functions (AML Checkers and AML Quality Assurance teams) to include "KYC Makers” who perform specific activities in support of AML/KYC requirements during onboarding of clients and during the performance of AML Periodic Reviews
Primary Activities: Manage/coordinate all activities required to complete the reorganization of the existing CBSU team, activities include, but are not limited to:
• Assimilation of existing resources who currently perform some KYC Marker tasks within the IPB U.S. business (16 makers + 1 manager)
• Manage the expansion of the scope of the existing KYC Maker function to include additional support activities to create an "end-to-end” role in support of Relationship Managers
• Coordinate the onboarding of new KYC Maker resources (32 in Miami and ~5 in select Latin America markets), 2-3 KYC Maker Managers (Miami) and 1 Unit Head (Miami)
• Work with business SMEs to assess training needs, coordinate the development and delivery of training for the KYC Maker population (uplifting of existing resources to new standards and full training of new resources)
• Coordinate with internal service providers to ensure premises, technology/infrastructure and all other related set up needs are completed for the new KYC Maker, Managers and Unit head population in Miami
• Work with CBSU management (CBSU Head and KYC Makers Unit Head) to:
o Ensure alignment of KYC Maker Units in the US and Latin America offices
o Define, implement an negotiate service standards, SLAs, processes, procedures, controls and metrics for the KYC Maker Unit
o Assist in the design, implementation and coordination of quality standards; create metrics relevant to the business processes
QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor of Arts or equivalent experience. Master's Preferred.
• 5-10 years of experience in the banking industry
• Relevant work experience in building teams and execution of specific tasks/activities through others
• Understanding of AML associated risks is a plus
• Ability to use Microsoft tool suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
• Proven success in project/program management and implementation of team set ups
• Effective verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong negotiation, execution and influencing skills; ability to build support and consensus.
• High level of energy and enthusiasm.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
• Proven ability to drive reorganization initiatives and projects to satisfactory completion.
• Ability to report to Senior Management levels.
