We are looking to add a Principal Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) Engineer I for Electrical Ground Systems Support Equipment (EGSE) to our team, supporting daily work in the lab and cleanroom for AI&T operations. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop requirements, designs, and/or on-going support for electrical ground support equipment (GSE).
- Work with System Engineering to develop requirements V&V test plans and maintain requirements verification test matrix.
- Work with Program Management to build AI&T schedules to feed the IMS.
- Support on-orbit mission operations with knowledge gained from integration/test activities.
- Validate all electrical interfaces between test equipment and flight hardware
- Provide expert guidance in the development of component and spacecraft assembly, integration, and test campaigns
- Develop and execute acceptance/qualification testing activities including, but not limited to, vibration, acoustic, shock, propulsion static fires, EMI/EMC, and thermal vacuum testing.
- Lead RCCAs of integration test issues in a manner that indicates sound engineering judgement and excellent communication skills.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues during integration and testing.
- Lead and participate in integration and test readiness reviews along with post-operational briefings.
- Analyze, document, and present integration and test data to support verification activities.
- Support coordination of spacecraft AI&T and launch operations effort (including the sequence of activities, required facilities, special test equipment, personnel, schedule, risks, and opportunities).
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in aerospace, electrical, or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 9 years experience including prior significant roles on spacecraft or related systems assembly, integration and test operations.
- Must have prior experience in multiple stages of satellite and component development including early design for test, test operations, and operational missions.
- Experience in requirements management, system design, integration, and test.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, willingness to learn new ones.
