Senior Product Manager - Snowpark Container Services

Snowflake is the Data Cloud that thousands of organizations trust to mobilize, process, and collaborate on their data. But data alone isn’t enough, and customers need to find secure ways to bring applications and logic to that data to unlock its potential. With the emergence of Generative AI and Machine Learning workloads, a new wave of “data apps” is defining an emerging wave of innovation across the globe.

Snowpark is the secure hosting and processing of apps and code within Snowflake. In June of 2023, we announced Snowpark Container Services, an exciting new entry into the cloud that lets you run containerized apps next to your Snowflake data. This provides the hosting and creation of LLMs on NVIDIA GPUs, partner applications that users can install from the Snowflake Marketplace and run in their account, and any other data processing or app workload. Snowpark Container Services brings the simplicity Snowflake is known for to a managed container platform. 

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the Container Services team and help us bring these capabilities to public preview and general availability and help usher in this new wave of data apps.

• Own the vision and product strategy for the platform components of Snowpark Container Services.
• Work directly with customers and partners at some of the largest 2,000 enterprises globally to identify and address requirements around data apps, GPU workloads, machine learning, and LLMs.
• Help scale a new (currently private beta) service from 0 to 100.
• Communicate frequently and often to leadership and executives on progress, blockers, and risks to our strategy.
• Work closely with teams across Snowflake who are building functionality that requires containerized compute.
• Put yourself in the shoes of Data Scientists, ML Engineers and App developers to help us create the easiest, managed and powerful container platform built for processing huge amounts of data.

OUR IDEAL PRODUCT MANAGER WILL HAVE:

• 7+ years of experience as a product manager
• Experience building and shipping cloud-based solutions to customers
• A general understanding and experience with containers
• Superb written and verbal communication with a track record of creating clarity

BONUS POINTS FOR THE FOLLOWING:

• Experience and exposure to Kubernetes and container orchestration concepts
• Familiarity with GPUs and considerations for hosting and running workloads on GPUs
