SENIOR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER

Job Summary

As a Senior Architectural Designer, you will collaborate in both the design and improvement of the home design collections that Fischer Homes offers. In this role, you will be an integral part of the Architectural Design Team in developing new designs and the ongoing efforts to provide the home designs and features homebuyers are looking for. These skills will be used to: 

• Create and maintain a wide array of residential designs for single-family detached, attached, patio, and entry-level homes.
• Identify new home design features and trend concepts and how they can be added to Fischer Homes' design collections.
• Review construction documents of new and updated home designs and verify initial design intent of livability and construction efficiency
• Develop preliminary conceptual designs for the programs presented by the Architectural Design Manager and prepare them for the production design phase.
• Create, develop and explore themes of architectural graphic communication through the Fischer Homes AutoCAD environment, SketchUp & Graphic Presentation Renderings.
• Review job construction process and input construction simplification suggestions on home types in order to improve the buildability of Fischer Homes product.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
• 5 years of residential design experience.
• Experienced in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Google Sketch-up and possess strong graphic presentation skills.
