THE ROLE

Our client is looking for an experienced Engineering Team Lead / Engineering Manager who can lead their platform team. As a member of this lean but mighty team, you will partner with your team of engineers, to drive our client's organizational infrastructure and automation tools.

This role is fully remote.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Manage and lead a team of 3-5 engineers and associated agile rituals like standups, planning, and retrospectives.
• Align your team around product OKRs/KPIs that you jointly focus on driving.
• Work with product managers and designers to build and realize new product features.
• Report on project statuses to the company.
• Perform peer code reviews to ensure the team is producing well-tested and maintainable code.
• Evangelize our software development best practices within the team.
• Active development with proper test coverage
• Support and optimize our critical production environment.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• 3+ years of first-hand professional experience with Ruby on Rails.
• 5+ years of experience building web applications.
• 3+ years of experience leading multi-person projects in some capacity.
• 1+ years of experience in some form of leading, mentoring, or managing engineers.
• Experience with Datadog, AWS, and OpenSearch/Elasticserach or comparable technologies.
• Nice to have: Experience in the healthcare industry.
