The Junior IT Administrator is responsible for providing assistance to users and ensuring the seamless functioning and management of IT systems, assets, infrastructure and software applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of computer hardware and software, as well as excellent customer service skills.

Essential Duties:

  • Provide first-level contact for applications, laptops and desktop support including troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Resolve daily technical issues reported by end users in the companies in America
  • Work closely with HR on onboarding and off-boarding of employees by provisioning new user accounts, proper access to specific systems, providing/collecting devices and also account removals
  • Troubleshoot problems with laptops, desktops, and perform hardware replacements or upgrades as needed
  • Provide technical support for operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, email and other applications used by employees within the companies in America
  • Manage IT vendor negotiations for efficient hardware and software procurement
  • Provide training on new and existing applications as required
  • Create how-to documentation to assist people with various computer tasks
  • Manage user accounts and permissions
  • Assist with or lead Helpdesk initiatives
  • Monitor and assist with IT security management
  • Implement and deploy new equipment as required and conduct ongoing maintenance of IT assets

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Helpdesk support environment with customer service 
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills cross multi environment
  • Good working knowledge of macOS, DNS, O365, Google Workspace, networking, VPN, video conferencing systems
  • Ability to provide remote support and work flexible hours as needed
  • Skilled in conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills and professionalism with the ability to deal effectively with all levels of clients (internal or external)
  • Self-starter comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment 
  • Detail-oriented, meticulous
  • Adept in multitasking and time management
  • High level of accountability and ability to effectively prioritize tasks
  • Experience working with ticketing software

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with tools such as Kandji, NinjaOne, InTune an asset
  • Experience with identity providers such as Okta, Auth0, or other 
  • Powershell, Bash and Python scripting an asset
  • ITIL, A+, Network +, Linux certifications an asset
  • Korean language proficiency an asset
