About This Position
The Site Operations Manager will be the primary interface between Intersect Power and its O&M Service provider, as well as other service providers and suppliers to ensure portfolio goals are achieved. The role requires coordination between multiple entities to ensure alignment of priorities among all parties, follow through on execution and capture the information on completion of services on a regular basis.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage day-to-day relationships OM provider, control room and subcontractors on site
- Manage and oversee O&M Service Providers activities across the portfolio
- Set priorities and provide oversight to work conducted by O&M providers’ technicians, when needed
- Provide feedback to O&M partner based on performance, safety and quality data and reports In coordination with O&M Service Provider, pursue and resolve open warranty issues with OEMs and EPCs
- Track high priority issues to completion, troubleshooting issues and assertively pushing to get responses.
- Utilize experience as well as engineering resources to troubleshoot site issues
- Manage all site related non-covered services, including vegetation management
- Be the primary contact for coordination and site visit logistics
- Provide updates to team and company about status of issues and estimated impact to projects
- Manage operations specialists and provide mentorship and career development opportunities for their advancement
Qualifications and Skills
- Technical educational background preferred: STEM bachelor's degree or a major in environmental/sustainability sciences
- 4+ years as an operating performance engineer or development engineer (experience working at or with OM providers is a bonus)
- 1+ years of supervisory experience required
- Proficiency with performance modeling tools: PVsyst and Plant Predict in particular
- Working knowledge of python and ability to perform analysis with minimal guidance
- Intimate knowledge of the energy and renewable energy market, and the ability to stay current with changing technologies, regulations, and industry trends
- Commercial mindset, strong prioritization, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to read and understand electrical single-line and three-line diagrams and schematics
- Technical knowledge of general plant and system processes, electrical and SCADA systems
- Technical knowledge in analyzing equipment performance and identifying performance issues using software tools
- Experience with PV maintenance, including DC systems, AC MV systems, network communications and monitoring
- Prior experience in CAISO or ERCOT markets preferred
- Strong analytical and diagnostic capabilities to guide other is in troubleshooting and corrective actions
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire people to action through their influence
- Proficient with MS Office or Google Suite

Physical and Sensory Requirements
- Mostly sedentary work; using standard office equipment including a computer, keyboard, and telephone.
- Position requires some travel for company-wide meetups( ~4 weeks through a calendar year), as well as site site travel 1x/ quarter.

- Salary: $130,000 USD to $140,000 USD base salary with 25-30% annual target bonus
