Flynn Group of Companies, North America’s leading building envelope contractor, is looking for an Enterprise Application Technical Analyst to work from our Mississauga location.
The Enterprise Application Technical Analyst is responsible for supporting and maintaining several commercial off the shelf (COTS) applications for the organization. This role provides advisory services, technical guidance on the operation and maintenance of our COTS applications including Dynamics SL 2015, Remote Desktop Services, Preceptive Content, SAP SuccessFactors, HardCat and xCart. Success in this role requires staying up to date with current system releases, developing and implementing strategies to address problem areas with the core solutions including implementing continuous improvement strategies. Individuals must work well in a team setting to meet objectives in a timely manner; however, individuals also need to be able to perform effectively with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
- System Support and Application Maintenance
- Responsible for application maintenance, upgrades, integrations, troubleshooting and providing solutions advice on all of our COTS applications.
- Provide technical support escalation capabilities for a wide range of out the box business applications and in house custom solutions.
- Providing performance analysis for applications and data access.
- Development and architecture of software integration solutions.
- Strong background and experience with Microsoft Windows servers and services.
- Responsible for MSSQL database management and tuning, including optimization, maintenance and security, and refreshing of test, development and training environments.
- Maintaining monitoring solutions and responding to incidents
- Assisting where needed in change management advisory on impact to applications and SQL environments.
- Disaster recovery planning and testing, carrying out regular restores.
- SQL and PowerShell / batch scripting and integration programming for interfacing systems.
- Work closely with the various technical and non-technical teams with troubleshooting and implementing recommendations and solutions.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining system architecture maps and system documentation.
- Dynamics SL 2015, Perceptive Content, Avanti, Hardcat - Troubleshooting, refreshing, upgrading
- Project Management and Optimization
- Responsible for developing strategy and roadmap for existing or net new systems with a holistic view of the business.
- Responsible for ensuring project plans and work demands of the team are realistic and deadlines are met including working with Project Management Office.
- Maintain positive relationships with appropriate HR, IT, Finance, Management and Administration to determine enhanced offerings for current and future system functionality.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining system architecture maps and system documentation.
- Data Quality and Security
- Evaluating data quality issues and determining methods to improve system accuracy.
- Evaluating data quality and preventative strategies to maintain accurate data.
What We Are Seeking?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science
- Ability to provide direction to Applications Team and influence stakeholders to ensure that solutions are effective and in keeping with the overall IT strategy.
- Strong customer service focus with demonstrated skills in supporting users to assist in addressing issues and concerns.
- Performance tuning , Server configuration, Indexes analysis, Backup and recovery, T-SQL development, Disaster recovery, refreshes, upgrades and patches
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills are required.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to learn and use a variety of software applications such as JIRA, Confluence, Zendesk.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-project environment with shifting priorities, and the ability to reassess and reprioritize competing business needs.
