  • Provide training and guidance to engineers on navigating FuSa processes for mass production software products.
  • Serve as a liaison between Woven by Toyota and Tier 1 suppliers/OEMs for software safety requirements.
  • Establish safety-related standard processes, including safety management systems and safety of intended functionality.
  • Develop processes and guidelines for the safe deployment of AI and machine learning systems, focusing on risk management, testing, and validation.
  • Promote a safety culture where developers adhere to safety processes.
  • Lead in-house developments of safety-related processes.
  • Report on compliance with safety-related organizational processes.
  • Teach safe design practices to ensure proper implementation of safety mechanisms.
  • Verify safety measures by identifying potential risks and ensuring mitigation to acceptable levels.
  • Document safety assessments to support accountability and traceability.
  • Plan and conduct functional safety audits, evaluating safety processes across development projects.
  • Create safety-related audit and assessment programs aligned with product development roadmaps.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in embedded software development.
  • Experience leading safety analysis using methodologies such as FMEA, FTA, or HAZOP.
  • Training experience in safety-related standards (ISO 26262, SOTIF, automotive standards for AI/ML).
  • Proficiency in Japanese and English.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and automotive industry best practices, like Automotive SPICE.
  • Working knowledge of Quality and Audit Management Systems, with hands-on experience implementing ISO 9001 and ISO 19011.
  • Experience with configuration management processes and tool setups.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with multiple stakeholders.

NICE TO HAVES:

  • 2+ years of experience conducting automotive software safety audits and assessments.
