CPI Security, a leader in security and automation systems is hiring a IT QA Analyst for our team in our Charlotte, North Carolina market. This will be a member of IT Application Delivery responsible for Quality Assurance testing of applications and systems. Active throughout requirements and development lifecycle; studies and improves process, product, and roadmap. Involved in User Experience design and verification.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and document manual test cases
- Develop regression and smoke testing scripts UX/accessibility testing
- Execute manual tests, analyze requirements, and report detailed defects
- Conduct Functional UI Testing (black box), Smoke Testing, Regression Testing, Exploratory Testing
- Basic data (SQL) validation
- Basic API payload (payloads and headers) validation
- Contribute to requirements discussions and project planning
- Ensure end product meets or exceeds user expectations
- Coordinate UAT
- Identify automation cases in test plan
- Some automation capability; recording, basic scripting

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, exempt position. Hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel is not required.
Preferred Education and Experience
- BS degree or 4+ years relevant experience
- Four (4) or more years of progressive experience as a QA Tester or Analyst.
- Primary QA for multiple small- to medium-sized projects
