Job Summary:
- Manage and supervise equipment installations, provide electrical manpower for service group.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Manpower planning and coordination to enable timely delivery of jobs in conjunction with Launch Manager and Project Manager. Understanding of time to complete tasks and supervision to achieve. Know and understand due dates for equipment and prioritize work accordingly.
- Provide feedback on job status to Launch Manager and Project Management.
- Direct electricians in daily job assignments.
- Provide line-up for second shift leader and monitor off-shift progress as needed.
- Assist in start-up/debug of equipment.
- Audit received incoming material/marked-up BOMs, dispense to installation team, provide proper storage for all incoming material required for job(s). Feedback to supervisor material status.
- Work with engineering staff to identify and correct issues with equipment installation and operation.
- Recommend as appropriate work methods and/or materials that will improve existing designs or installation practices.
- Travel (up to 70%) to assist in installations, debug, tryout, or problem solving at customer locations.
- Assist in packing and loading of machines for shipment.
- Ability to direct contract electricians during reassembly of equipment being installed.
- Plan and order material for installations and follow-up with Purchasing/Spare Parts when required.
- Meet with customer and ability to discuss status and open issue resolution.
Requirements: - Designing and implementing work schedules for the electrical staff.
- Providing motivation and assistance when necessary.
- Inspecting and assessing work done by the electrical staff.
- Reading and interpreting schematics to ensure the proper installation of electrical systems.
- Ensuring work is completed on schedule and to applicable codes and standards.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work area.
- High school diploma
- Technical Associate degree preferred
Experience: - Journeyman electrician or equivalent experience preferred.
- 5 years previous experience Field Service Projects as leader preferred.
