We are growing fast and are now looking for a WordPress Developer to join our Moodle Community team! Fully flexible and working from anywhere in the APAC region, this role is offered as a full time, ongoing contractor role. 

What your new job can look like…

As WordPress Developer, you will work closely with the Moodle Community team and the wider Moodle Community to maintain and develop the moodlemoot.org and fund.moodle.org WordPress websites.

At Moodle, no two days will ever be the same, but most days in this role usually involve a mix of:

• Leading the development of the moodlemoot.org and fund.moodle.org websites in collaboration with key stakeholders to bring their visions to life. 
• Leading the maintenance and upgrades of these WordPress websites, in collaboration with the ICT team.
• Crafting high quality code that adheres to WordPress coding standards including PHP, SQL, HTML, CSS, Javascript & Ajax.
• Writing comprehensive user cases to enable thorough testing and ensure functionality.
• Developing insightful reports and analyzing data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Building and maintaining quality relationships with the Moodle HQ team and Moodle Community members.
• Developing processes to help other team members understand and utilise new Wordpress features and functionalities effectively.

Requirements

We'd love to meet you…

Especially if you have:

• Demonstrated experience in developing  professional WordPress multisite websites.
• Strong PHP programming skills, along with a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, Javascript and Ajax.
• Strong knowledge of databases and SQL - ideally MySQL.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex development concepts for non experts.
• Experience producing technical documentation, including step-by-step help articles, technical blog posts and support tickets.
• An ability to  thrive in a diverse, global environment and build strong, positive relationships with team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as be a strong team player who contributes to overall team goals and projects.
