About the Role: 

The Trade Marketing Manager, North America Pro is responsible for translating brand marketing campaigns and initiatives to distributor-specific needs including visual merchandising, sampling, events, in-store & digital activations, and more to drive growth. This person will champion the needs of the professional and ensure consideration of the stylist perspective. 

The Trade Marketing Manager, North America Pro will assist the Marketing Director with execution of all brand elements within the salon professional channel including but not limited to Tradeshows & Event Marketing, Education, Social Media, and Stylist Activations. 

The ideal candidate will have the ability to research and provide regular analytics around potential strategic alliances, as well as support the team with inputs on brand communications and go-to-market plans.

Help develop and execute the overall brand strategy within the professional channel 

  • Collaborate with Marketing Director to execute go-to-market plans including new product launches, advertising creative, media planning, in-store execution, point of sale, promotions etc 
  • Collaborate closely with channel owners to develop and implement 360 programs to support OLAPLEX in the professional channel
  • Translate global brand vision into salon specific strategies for the brand
  • Drive adaptation of marketing campaigns to specific customer needs, ensuring 360 campaigns (in-store, digital, social, events, promotions), covering ongoing and launch support and promotional activity
  • Lead planning + execution of in-store visual merchandising + print needs across customer portfolio
  • Work alongside Account Managers to develop and create holistic trade marketing plans designed to drive business, including visual merchandising, sales promotions, holiday sales, seasonal events, loyalty programs, GWP, special kits, etc. while delivering a strong ROI on programming
  • Lead the planning and submission of JBP & planning documents to customers
  • Partner with Sales, Field, Education, Creative Teams to plan and execute events
  • Brief and create collateral for all customer-specific programs and in-store needs
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure on-time delivery of copy, comps, artwork, visuals, etc. to customers
  • Manage sampling + product trial opportunities across customer portfolio
  • Identify growth opportunities 
  • Own the Sales, Marketing, Education & Digital (SMED) calendar to ensure it’s the central point of truth for all professional channel activities & programs
  • Own the budget management & updates; continue to optimize as needed to support the business

Strategy & Insights

  • Evaluate ROI of marketing campaigns and adjust plans as necessary. Regular reporting & analysis on effectiveness, functionality of strategies & programs including KPIs 
  • Collaborate with the Integrated Marketing team to provide feedback and analysis on innovation, campaigns, key initiatives (pre-, post- and during)
  • Stay informed on professional industry trends, competitive landscapes and new technologies affecting salons and distribution platforms

Be the internal champion for the product

  • Assist Marketing Director, Education and Sales team in the development and delivery of presentations, materials and collateral to ensure success with key partners and professional audiences
  • Collaborate with Sales team to track and analyze in-market implementation
  • Participant in strategic customer meetings including: Monthly business updates, Line-Reviews, & Joint-Business Planning
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure synergies with our in-store & digital strategy
  • Regularly communicates with Sales, Field, Education teams to share Account specific support plans and changes

Assist in developing an educational platform to drive awareness and advocacy

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director and Education team to develop out-of-the box education initiatives that breakthrough and create awareness and understanding of unique points of difference for OLAPLEX
  • Collaborate with Education on the content & materials developed for the Pro Site, App, Facebook Group, etc and enforce building a Pro Community 

About You:  

  • Bachelor's Degree with a focus on marketing, communications, or a related field with specific experience in Beauty and/or Professional salon channels
  • 5-7+ years of experience in marketing roles, demonstrating a track record of success in these areas
  • Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle urgent matters efficiently across multiple time zones
  • Strong relationship-building abilities, with a focus on developing and maintaining positive internal and external partnerships
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while maintaining a high level of productivity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and organization skills, ability to juggle different projects under pressure is key
  • A quality of team work, proactiveness with a can-do, go-getter attitude and attention to detail is critical
  • Must have a passion and drive for the beauty industry

Our Total Rewards: 

The annual base pay for this position is $100,000 - $135,000 with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, years of relevant experience, skill level, functional expertise, certificates or other professional licenses held and geographic location.
