Compliance Analyst

Job Description:

Maintains legal and regulatory compliance by researching and communicating state requirements; obtaining insurance department approvals, completing filings and anticipating business needs in the compliance area. This position must develop a current understanding of state insurance requirements and research upcoming legislation to maintain compliance for all owned and managed carriers

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and maintain producer appointments

• Communicate with producer appointment application vendor (NoMoreForms)

• Prepare and file informational reports with State departments

• Communicate with partners regarding Premium Financing

• Coordinate efforts with accounting department regarding annual municipal taxes

• Direct calls and correspondence from state insurance departments regarding claim or policy inquiries and notifications to appropriate partner or internal contact

• Prepare and file NAIC applications and amendments as necessary

• Prepare and file licensing applications as necessary

• Prepare and file certificate of authority and business license renewals annually all both insurance carriers

• Maintain various files for state reporting, contracts, WC & GL Rate Rule & Form Filings

• Perform other activities, duties and assignments as needed or requested

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's degree or higher preferred

• Must be organized and able to work under time constraints and deadlines

• Curious and eager to learn

• Must be able to make decisions, solve problems, and respond to inquiries with limited supervision

• Good verbal and written communications skills are imperative

• Computer and data entry experience is necessary

• Attention to detail for accuracy and completeness is necessary

• Must be able to work well with people and maintain a high degree of confidentiality

• Must be able to work with multiple priorities, and communicate status of progress effectively

• Prior experience in Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Office including PowerPoint
