About SEO
For more than 60 years, SEO has created a more equitable society by closing the educational and career opportunity gap for ambitious Black, Hispanic/Latinx, and Native American young people. All are welcome to apply to our programs.
About SEO Scholars
SEO Scholars is a free, eight-year, academic program that transforms public high school students into college graduates. SEO Scholars successfully educates and mentors underserved, low-income public high school students to and through college. 100% of Scholars are accepted into four-year colleges, and 90% of Scholars graduate from college and earn a Bachelor’s degree. This is compared to only 60% of all students who enter college nationally and 20% of students who come from similar backgrounds as our Scholars. SEO Scholars has programs in New York, San Francisco, North Carolina and Miami. SEO Scholars San Francisco (SF Scholars) was established in 2011 and continues to grow. We welcomed 120 ninth graders to the 2024 9th grade class and have expanded to serve students throughout the Bay Area.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
The Program Manager, Mentoring and Enrichment (PM M&E) leads the strategic and day-to-day operations of our mentorship and enrichment programs - two key elements of the Scholars program. SF Scholars’ Mentorship Program matches 11th grade Scholars with local professionals across many industries who volunteer to provide guidance and support as Scholars begin to explore colleges and careers. Our Enrichment Program provides Scholars with opportunities ranging from academic and experiential to professional, helping them to build skills and confidence, while also bolstering college applications.
With a focus on creating opportunities for underserved high school students, the PM M&E maintains the communications, systems and processes that support 11th Grade Scholars along their journey through college and career. The PM M&E plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of various program components, and supporting Scholars, mentors, and enrichment program partners.
