About Us
Untrap addresses a critical problem faced by Managed Service Providers (MSPs): the inability to fully utilize the unstructured data within their Professional Service Automation (PSA) systems. This trapped data, often overlooked due to the limitations of existing reporting tools, holds significant potential for MSPs to enhance profitability, optimize operations, and improve client retention
Untrap bridges this gap by providing actionable insights, improving operational efficiency, and ultimately enhancing profitability for MSPs.
Our mission is to unlock the valuable data trapped within PSA systems, transforming how MSPs operate and serve their clients.
As a Founding Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our product and company culture. You'll work directly with the founding team, tackling exciting technical challenges and building scalable solutions from the ground up.

Requirements
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and implement key features of Untrap's platform, from ideation to deployment. You'll have a direct impact on the user experience of MSP operators and users.
- Work closely with the CEO to define and execute the technical roadmap. You'll be a core member of the technical team, collaborating on architectural decisions, technology selection, and implementation strategies.
- Champion best practices for software development, including writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code. You'll play a key role in establishing a culture of technical excellence.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment, and embrace the opportunity to wear multiple hats and make a big impact. You’ll be a driving force in a small and dynamic team.
Our Tech Stack
We are currently selecting the tech stack to build our platform. This is not an R&D role. You will be applying existing generative AI technologies not creating new ones. If you excel in translating complex AI requirements into fully-realized, innovative solutions, we’d love to hear from you.
Experience with these technologies is a plus:
- Expert knowledge of how to apply generative AI - LLMs such as GPT, LLaMa, and Claude
- Proficiency in Python, and APIs such as OpenAI, Azure AI, Amazon Bedrock, and Google Vertex
- Ability to balance rapid proof of concept development with full-stack deployment
- Proven experience in developing Generative AI solutions
- Coding & Prompt/Flow Engineering: integrate various AI services and APIs, creating cohesive AI systems.
- Defensive Design Strategy: Develop AI solutions with safeguards against abuse, misuse, and prompt injection, ensuring robust, secure systems in line with industry security and privacy standards.
