Position Summary
A writer with experience across a wide range of media including digital and email, direct mail, advertising, and editorial content, equally adept at striking headlines and in-depth storytelling and with proven ability to communicate with an affluent audience.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Write effective copy for a variety of assigned marketing projects in accordance with A&K style, brand voice, and business requirements.
- Follow in-house procedures for writing, revising, and circulating copy drafts with appropriate stakeholders for each project.
- Work with colleagues in Product, Marketing, and Sales to acquire the product knowledge required for each project.
- Assume production responsibility for all assigned projects. Track daily progress with the Global Managing Editor and participate in weekly team meetings.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong grammar knowledge and an eye for detail
- The ability to track deadlines and manage multiple simultaneous projects.
- Computer literate; experienced and skilled in Microsoft Office applications. Apple Mac, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or desktop publishing experience a plus.
- Ability to interact smoothly and productively with design, production, and other staff in an office (hybrid) setting.
- Must read/write/speak English.
Education and Experience
- Five years of experience as a copywriter with a design house, advertising or marketing agency, or a corporate marketing department.
- Experience with copywriting for digital marketing
- Bachelor’s degree or better in English, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Portfolio with relevant samples
- Experience within the travel industry, or in marketing a luxury brand, will be considered a strong plus. International travel experience is also a plus.
