About the Team
HashiCorp Cloud Platform is a self-service, fully managed platform offering HashiCorp products as a service to automate infrastructure on leading cloud providers, according to the latest best practices. The HCP Core Platform team is focused on delivering common, standardized capabilities enabling reliability, consistency, and faster time to delivery. We are a high impact, high visibility, fully remote team who have adopted the Taos of HashiCorp as our guiding principles for product development. We interact with each other and our several cloud partners across the company following the strong set of company principles.
In this role, you can expect to
- Innovate and evolve our frontend tooling and ecosystem (in Ember) to make the experience of writing high quality code as effortless and enjoyable as possible
- Support the applications you build by developing Observability best practices and being a part of an on-call rotation
- Build shared services primarily in Golang
- Create and manage their life cycle with Github Action workflows and Terraform
- Contribute to the design and implementation of large-scale systems
- Work with multiple cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
- Work with HashiCorp products such as Terraform, Consul, Vault, and Nomad
- Interface directly with internal teams, users, and HashiCorp customers
- Collaborate and learn remotely with your fellow team of committed engineers delivering incremental value to the business while improving skills
- Own the full lifecycle of feature development from design through testing and release
You may be a good fit for our team if
- You have 3+ years of professional software development experience and are proficient in at least one backend programming language (Golang desired)
- Experienced with modern browser based development (Javascript/ES7, HTML, CSS)
- Familiar with modern Javascript tooling such as Webpack, Storybook, React, Angular, Ember
- Familiar with micro-service and single page architectures
- Familiar with web accessibility guidelines, accessibility tools, and assistive technologies
- Familiar with engineering practices at scale such as shared tooling and platforms, design systems, inner-source/open-source contributions, and collaboration within guilds or pods
- You have professional software development experience and are proficient in at least one backend programming language (Golang, Java or Python)
- You are familiar with high performance or distributed cloud microservices architectures and ideally have already deployed them at a global scale using cloud providers such as AWS, Azure or GCP
- You are able to knowledgeably discuss performance, security and user interactions in complex systems
- You are pragmatic, methodical, well-organized, detail-oriented, and self-starting
- You are a creative thinker who puts the team and business first
- Have a constant desire to grow, learn, and explore new things

Individual pay within the range will be determined based on job related-factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.
The base pay range for this role in the SF Bay Area / NYC area is:
$151,300—$178,000 USD
The base pay range for this role in Seattle Metro, Denver / Boulder Metro, New York (excluding NYC), Washington D.C., or California (excluding SF Bay Area) is:
$138,600—$163,100 USD
The base pay range for this role in Colorado (excluding Denver / Boulder Metro) and Washington (excluding Seattle Metro) is:
$126,100—$148,300 USD
