IBKR is looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with operational experience in two factor authentication systems to join our team and help shape one of the world’s strongest brokerage brands.
The ideal candidate will join the team responsible for the deployment, management, and support of our in-house IBKR Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) devices at IBKR. This person will report to the Technical Assistance Center Manager based in Chicago, Illinois.
Your Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the area of secure login systems (IBKR 2FA, SMS and physical security devices).
- Process escalations from first level analysts who troubleshoot and resolve issues related to secure login devices to ensure seamless client experience.
- Monitor and analyse trends and patterns and link them to challenges clients face and propose solutions for those.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to user authentication whilst ensuring industry regulations are considered.
- Provide expert guidance and support to colleagues from different client services and client operations by instructing on best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
- Taking ownership of the lifecycle of 2FA devices across all regions, including inventory tracking, maintenance, and decommissioning of expired or damaged devices.
- Implement a monitoring system for 2FA device usage which includes regular audits, identifying and addressing any anomalies proactively rather than reactively.
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field (STEM). Master’s degree is recommended.
- In-depth knowledge of two-factor authentication protocols and device types.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to secure login systems such as OAuth.
- Experience and advanced usability knowledge of common desktop and mobile operating systems.
- Exceptional experience in Excel and/or other data analytic tools is a must.
- Languages: Fluent in English. Any additional language is a plus.

- Basic understanding of JIRA, Confluence and other problem, task, and knowledge management software.
