This role will report to the Regional Design Director, International.
Visual Merchandising
- Lead consistent in store VM execution adhering to global guidelines and brand standards across all Sol de Janeiro retail environments
- Create detailed designs of all VM and in-store activations in partnership with International Design team
- Oversee the development and regional adaptations of permanent POSM units and temporary VM activations
- Own the creation and updates of all planograms in each retailer for all new launches & sharing these with retailers in a timely manner
- Manage production vendors and suppliers through a clear briefing process using your design skills for all assigned projects
- Partner with sales and marketing to develop best in class activations, supporting them with any consumer engagement activities in retail environments & develop the tools to do this
- Responsible for regular store visits with a focus on Flagship and top doors in partnership with the Sales team
- Ensure our stores reflect the global and local VM strategy by adhering to the Global VM guidelines
- Effectively communicate any Regional specific brand, VM and localization requirements to Global VM team
Pop-ups & Events
- Lead the design process for local events and pop ups in collaboration with the International Design team
- Partner with sales and marketing to develop best in class pop ups and events, supporting them with any consumer engagement activities
- Liaise with production vendors and suppliers for on brand execution following global brand standards and event guidelines
- Maintain highest quality of design standards and execution while adhering to strict timelines and budgets
New Door Openings
- Lead the store design process of new door openings in collaboration with the International team
- Create planogram/product layout for new store designs in partnership with the Sales Team, using consumer and retailer insights as well as VM knowledge to inform our planograms and make suggestions for better shopper navigation
- Work with suppliers to create new store opening collateral orders to ensure we have all the correct artwork and glorifiers ready to print
Budget management
- Manage VM and Event production budgets for all regional projects
- Support region with invoice and expense tracking for VM and events
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in relevant industry
- Beauty experience preferred
- Background in Architecture, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or Visual Merchandising Design
- Software Requirements: Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Rhino and/or Sketchup, Keyshot
- Understanding of branding and graphic storytelling within the retail environment
- Highly proficient in vendor specifications and technical drawings
- Expertise in planogramming and knowledge of 3D dimensional structures and spaces
- Career track record that shows the candidate has a strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and to meet deadlines using excellent organizational skills, quality execution and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely – ability to provide and receive constructive feedback that is necessary to improve designs
- Must be highly collaborative with ability to understand the objectives of all cross-functional partners and work toward a design that meets that need and upholds the creative integrity of the brand
- Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment
