Data is at the core of Similarweb. As an Big Data Engineer, you’ll design and implement high-scale systems to retrieve and analyze internet data, directly influencing our data infrastructure and client insights.

Your Responsibilities

• Scraping: Build and maintain large-scale web-scraping operations.

• Processing: Develop complex data pipelines to process and enrich raw data.

• Engineering: Design and build robust, large-scale systems to support data infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• 📝 Write complex PySpark applications for data processing.

• 🛠️ Develop high-performance, dockerized microservices.

• 🤝 Collaborate with talented engineers and learn new technologies.

• ☁️ Implement solutions within AWS cloud.

• 🧐 Monitor and debug data pipelines and services.

About You

• ✅ 3+ years in server-side software development (e.g. C#, Java, Python).

• 📚 Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, Airflow).

• 🌐 Familiar with cloud environments (e.g. AWS, GCP), Docker, and Kubernetes.

• 🌍 Knowledge of web scraping technologies and internet internals? A plus!

• 🚀 Eager to learn, take on challenges, and work in a team.
