The Job
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Marketing Operations & Analytics to join our team. This role is crucial in driving the effectiveness and efficiency of our marketing initiatives by not only analyzing data but also developing actionable insights and strategic recommendations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in re-imagining and transforming processes, mentoring and developing high-performing teams, and delivering compelling executive-level presentations. They will be a proactive leader, capable of rethinking how we operate and driving impactful change.
Your Day-to-Day Role
Marketing Operations Management:
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of marketing operations processes, tools, and infrastructure to support scalable growth, i.e. Marketing automation platform, event playbooks, and digital infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of marketing activities with broader business objectives.
- Drive operational projects for growth strategies across various channels, including events, digital marketing, partner marketing, content marketing, customer marketing, ABM/ABX, SEO, SEM, and social media.
- Partner with Finance to manage the marketing budget and spend forecasts.
- Improve marketing attribution model to provide better visibility into marketing’s performance and contribution to pipeline and revenue goals.
- Oversee omni-channel marketing programs involving various personas, channels, products, and industries – ensuring programs align to best practices and marketing priorities.
- Integrate AI into marketing operations management to automate processes, deliver personalized content, and enhance attribution models, thereby improving efficiency, scalability, and resource allocation.
Advanced Analytics:
- Own and collaborate with Marketing Leadership on standard and ad hoc reporting requests, analysis, insights, and recommendations.
- Lead the development and execution of advanced analytics strategies and self-service reporting to drive data-driven decision-making across the marketing organization.
- Design and implement comprehensive dashboards and reporting systems to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
- Lead the adoption of AI-driven analytics tools to extract actionable insights from large datasets, improving the accuracy of marketing performance measurement and optimization strategies.
- Utilize AI to develop predictive modeling, segmentation, and other advanced techniques to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
- Analyze, prioritize, and optimize revenue marketing programs (e.g. Digital Marketing, Events, Campaigns) to continuously maximize conversion rates, pipeline generation, and ROI.
Team Leadership:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of marketing operations and analytics professionals.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the team.
- Provide ongoing coaching and development to team members to enhance their skills and career growth.
Technology and Tools:
- Evaluate, select, and manage marketing technology platforms and tools to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure seamless integration of marketing technologies with other business systems and platforms.
- Evaluate and integrate AI-driven marketing technology platforms (e.g. AI-enhanced marketing automation tools) to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Your Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in marketing operations, data analytics, or a related role, preferably within the software industry.
- Proven track record of leading and scaling marketing operations and analytics teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, and data science principles, with the ability to apply these to marketing operations and analytics.
- Strong expertise in marketing automation platforms (e.g., Pardot, Marketo), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), ABM (e.g., 6sense), Chatbot, and data analytics tools (e.g., Looker, Google Analytics).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with a focus on driving results and achieving business objectives.
Important Details
This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will work out of our Englewood Cliffs, NJ office a minimum of 3 days per week to maximize collaboration and interaction with the business. Travel may be required.
