Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role

The HR Officer will primarily concentrate on the end-to-end recruitment process, encompassing sourcing, screening, and onboarding of candidates. Additionally, this role will take on responsibilities for performance evaluation and timekeeping when needed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1) Sourcing and Talent Pool Management:

• Proactively identify potential candidates through various channels (job boards, social media, networking, etc.).

• Maintain and update a talent pool for diverse roles in sales & marketing, engineering, and administration.

2) Candidate Screening and Assessment:

• Screen resumes and applications to shortlist potential candidates.

• Conduct initial assessments to evaluate candidates' qualifications and suitability for specific roles.

3) Interview Coordination:

• Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.

• Provide necessary details to both candidates and hiring managers, including interview schedules and preparation materials.

4) Job Offers and Negotiations:

• Extend job offers to successful candidates, considering salary negotiations and other terms.

• Facilitate clear communication between candidates and hiring managers regarding offer details.

5) Onboarding Process:

• Oversee and coordinate the entire onboarding process for new hires.

• Ensure timely completion of all required onboarding activities, including paperwork, orientation sessions, and introductions to team members.

6) KPI Monitoring:

• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to recruitment, including onboarding timeliness, fitness of the hire, and other relevant metrics.

• Regularly analyze and report on recruitment performance metrics to assess effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.

7) Collaboration with Hiring Managers:

• Work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and align recruitment strategies accordingly.

• Provide guidance to hiring managers on best practices in candidate selection and recruitment processes.

8) Compliance and Documentation:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations during the recruitment and onboarding processes.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate interactions, interviews, and hiring decisions.

9) Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvement in the recruitment lifecycle.

• Implement enhancements to streamline and optimize the recruitment process.

10) Feedback and Evaluation:

• Gather feedback from hiring managers and candidates to continuously improve the recruitment experience.

• Conduct periodic evaluations to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and adjust as needed.

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, (or equivalent experience) in Human Resource Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or Business Management
  • Has 3 – 5 years of relevant work experience in recruitment and other HR functions.
  • Experience working in the medical industry is a plus but not required.
  • Proven track record in end-to-end recruitment processes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a startup environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving work setting.
  • Ability to adapt HR practices to support and drive organizational expansion.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies.
  • Hands-on experience in utilizing Jobstreet for talent acquisition.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing organizational needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.

Job type: Permanent

Emp type: Full time, Monday - Friday: 8:00AM - 5:30PM and Saturday: 9:00AM - 1:00PM
