Performance Equity Management (PEM) was formed in 2005, and has $8.7b in assets under management as of September 30, 2023. The firm is independently owned and has a long tenured and experienced investment team. In the late 1990s, members of the team began working together at General Motors Investment Management Corporation to manage the GM pension private equity program. Since then, the team has committed $29b through co-mingled funds and separate accounts: $13.7b of which has been allocated to global buyouts, $7.5b to venture, $4.9b to private debt, and $3.4b to co-investments. PEM has invested in over 400 private equity funds, representing over 175 private equity sponsors. Since inception, the firm has delivered compelling returns and strong performance.
PEM is focused on Growth Equity, Small, Mid-Market and Large Buyouts, Venture Capital, Co-Investments, Special Situations, and Secondary transactions. The firm is sector agnostic and constructs broadly diversified portfolios across information technology, healthcare, industrials, financials, materials, consumer, and telecom sectors with a focus on the US and Western Europe. Sagard, a global multi-strategy alternative asset management firm, acquired a strategic stake in Performance Equity Management in 2024. The transaction combines PEM’s private equity fund of funds and co-investment expertise and strong investment track record with Sagard’s rapidly growing alternative investment offering and global network. Description
Performance Equity Management (PEM) is seeking to grow its finance team with a highly analytical and passionate team member. The Associate, Corporate FP&A will play a key role in assisting with the scaling of the Corporate Finance function within the PEM platform creating long-term value for its clients, employees and GP partners.
