Aircraft Exterior Wash Technician

Based at Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD) , we are seeking a consistently hard-working aircraft exterior wash technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of aircraft exteriors.

Job Description: Applicants are asked to have open availability including weekends. Part time on call availability on a Monday through Friday bases with periodic weekend availability as needed. Shifts begging at 7:30 am and complete when services are finished (expected 10-12 hour shifts)

• 1. Cleaning Aircraft Surfaces: Wash, clean, and polish the exterior surfaces of aircraft using specialized equipment and cleaning agents
• 2. Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections to identify and report any damage or wear on the aircraft surface.
• 3. Detailing: Perform detailing work to remove stubborn stains, oxidation, and other contaminants.
• 4. Safety: Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure personal safety and the protection of the aircraft and surrounding environment
• 5. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and operate cleaning equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition
• 6. Documentation: Keep accurate records of cleaning activities, including any issues found and actions taken.
• 7. Compliance: Adhere to industry regulations and company policies related to aircraft maintenance and cleaning.
  This role requires knowledge of various cleaning chemicals and techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.

Employment Type: Part Time On Call

Pay: $400 per day, flat daily rate.

Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a 10 year background check and obtain airport badging.

• Must be able to pass a drug test (this includes the recreational use of Marijuana)

• Possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.

• Capable of bending, twisting, lifting and using machinery such as buffers for extended periods of time.

• Perform general manual labor.

• Fear of heights • Open availability and flexibility with scheduling.

• Veterans must provide the form DD214 of discharge information if applicable.
