Description:
The Linux Scripting Engineer will technically support a 3rd party application that handles customer online banking functions at UMB. Scheduling jobs, understanding statistical data, knowledge of integration of systems and an understanding of Linux and Windows environments and be able to write shell scripts in the Linux environment. You must be able to be a proactive communicator and be skilled in file scheduling and understand the importance of uptime in the banking systems. While it's not imperative the candidate can code in Java the supporting system is written in it and an understanding of reading the logs is essential.
Minimum Skills Required:
Background and experience in enterprise level applications integrations skills.
Extensive professional experience in understanding how systems operate together and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with Linux shell scripting
Experience w/ file transfer systems
Experience w/ job scheduler
Understanding of a Java system environment - NOTE: This candidate is not expected to code in Java. However, the supporting system is written in Java and an understanding of reading the logs is essential.
These skills are a PLUS:
Understanding of Splunk, SCOM, and OpNet analysis tools
Experience building IBM MQ messages
Experience with application integrations through an Enterprise Service Bus platform
File transfer using CyberFusion
Job scheduling using Zena
Experience with the ACI suite of products
