We’re looking for a new leader in our business intelligence (BI) organization to continue to shape our embedded analyst program at Spring Health. This is a player-coach role: you will have the opportunity to drive your own analytics work while also partnering with other leaders in our business intelligence org to set the strategy for the analytics team and people manage three direct reports. You will be aligned with our Medical Affairs, a clinical team led by our Chief Medical Officer, working to refine KPIs for the team; improve underlying data infrastructure that power those KPIs and other important programs the team owns; and build out tools, analyses and dashboards to help the team operate at the top of their potential.
What you’ll be doing
- [IC] Work with the Medical Affairs team to understand their current data landscape, learn about the team's data needs and current pain points, and develop a design for a revised data infrastructure that addresses these issues
- [IC] Collaborate with the core BI and data engineering teams to implement the revised data infrastructure design in dbt
- [IC] Use the revised data infrastructure to build out the tools, analyses, and dashboards that will enable the Medical Affairs team to track key clinical metrics, identify trends (positive and negative) and take proactive action.

- [MGMT] Manage three other embedded analysts, who will be staffed to different teams across the business. This includes 1:1s, performance reviews, etc.

What success looks like in this role:

- Develop tools and analyses that enable the Medical Affairs team to hit their own KPIs - you’re successful when you help your team be successful!
- Continue to grow and mentor the team of analysts you manage, building technical and soft skills and enabling them to increase the impact they can deliver to their own teams

Don’t meet every requirement? Studies have shown that women, communities of color and historically underrepresented talent are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At Spring Health we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace
To ensure intentional and equitable hiring practices, we use a balanced candidate slate in our interviews. This approach guarantees that our pool of qualified candidates includes individuals who are underrepresented in our organization at all levels.
