RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our client in the mining industry in the Northern Cape. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating capital and improvement projects within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project plans in accordance with company guidelines and objectives
- Coordinate project activities and resources to ensure successful project completion within budget and timelines
- Provide leadership and direction to project team members, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals
- Monitor and track project progress, identifying any potential risks or issues and implementing solutions as needed
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Degree or National Diploma in Mining or Mechanical Engineering
- Post graduate qualification in Project Management
- At least 8-10 years related Opencast Mining experience, of which at least 3-5 years must be in similar role (Project Manager overseeing fleet of Heavy Earthmoving Equipment) carrying applicable Legal appointment.
- Competency A training
- Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Control Training (HIRAC)
- Must have successfully completed Strata Control 2 course
- Surface / Opencast blasting certificate (Advantageous)
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
