Wayfair’s Design Services team is seeking a collaborative, analytical, action-oriented senior associate to help drive the program's strategic roadmap. This role will help craft and execute strategy for the Virtual Design team, which spans Specialty Retail brands, and specifically will support the re-launch of Design Services on Wayfair.com. Design Services is offered as a free benefit across SRBs and Perigold, and soon to be a paid model on Wayfair. We have a team of virtual designers who serve hundreds of customers monthly; our mission is to collaborate with customers to make their design visions a reality and provide them with a home or space that they will love. 

We seek a motivated senior associate who will partner with our design leadership team, business, and tech stakeholders to support our near- and long-term strategic Virtual roadmap. This includes proactively partnering with Sales, Analytics, and SRB teams to drive progress against goals, and executing medium/long-term program and store-level project initiatives that improve customer and designer experience and optimize workflows. The role will report directly to the head of Design Services.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support strategic Virtual Program initiatives by creating project roadmaps, executing planned initiatives, tracking initiative success, and holding partner teams accountable for their portion of projects
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and resources to support the execution of Wayfair relaunch, through planning and ideation to launch and success measurement
  • Drive initiatives to improve designer performance and the customer experience:
    • Using key data points (AOV, CVR, NPS) to determine, execute against, and measure high-impact initiative
    • Create short-term action plans to address underperformance and/or accelerate positive trends, with clear asks, milestones and deliverables
    • Communicate progress and resolutions to partner and immediate team members
  • Independently scope and execute medium/long-term projects and initiatives
    • Assist in scoping project initiatives, ensuring project management operational excellence through clear deliverables, resource needs, timelines, and cross-functional involvement
    • Drive execution to project deliverables, including hitting milestones, preparing / delivering updates to team leadership / cross-functional teammates, and incorporating feedback

What You’ll Need:

  • 3+ years of experience in sales enablement, project / program management, strategy & operations, consulting, or similar roles supporting Sales, Customer Service, or Marketing teams
  • Communication: Ability to understand and empathize with diverse stakeholders across functions, and tailor messaging / communication appropriately to ensure resonance; ability to create consistent messaging about complex projects, flexing to audience needs but creating cohesion on the objective and guiding principles
  • Strategic thinking / problem solving: Ability to break down complex, ambiguous problems into logical objectives, translating sales needs into discrete, actionable steps for partner teams to execute
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Passion for working collaboratively across functions to drive operational improvements and projects. Empathetic with stakeholder (sales team) and partner (sales tech, analytics, sales performance and training) needs and perspectives to drive cohesive vision and execution
  • Program/Process management: Ability to manage processes efficiently by scoping logical steps from ideation to project completion, organizing data / materials for broad understanding, synthesizing stakeholder feedback, ensuring project interim steps are on time, and delivering results on time with high quality
  • Data Interpretation: Ability to synthesize insights from data analysis, understanding trends that affect performance in the short-term and identifying long-term opportunities for improvement

Wayfair's In-Office Policy:

All Boston-based interns, Co-ops, and corporate employees will be in office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office on designated days, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and work remotely the other 1 day of the week.
