Senior Application Consultant, Enterprise Scheduling
Job location: This is a remote position. You can work from home and be located anywhere in Canada or United States
About the team
The Senior Application Consultant is a consulting position within Kinaxis’s Professional Services, Innovation and Data Science Services organization. You will work closely with other team members within our multidisciplinary team and with other teams cross-functionally, in order to deliver end to end customer projects related to innovative applications, such as Production Planning and Scheduling.
What you will do
- Participate in customer business requirements discovery sessions and help develop requirements and technical specifications documentation.
- Understand customer’s supply-planning needs related to production scheduling and group planning (open sales orders, delivery coordination of parts to expedite flow of material, production schedule, supplier purchase orders, manufacturing work orders, warehouse management, exceptions related to schedule impact) and manage customer-facing discussions.
- Implement innovative software solutions incorporating new capabilities to complex business problems while maintaining best practices.
- Provide workflow and process optimization
- Support data management and data integration related activities as required.
- Support the validation and testing of the solution and capture user feedback.
- Guide and mentor other team members in our extended team and help scale innovations for all new services.
What we are looking for
- MS Degree in one of the following fields: Operations Management, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in Production Planning and/or Job Shop Scheduling or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Planning or Management
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication (both in written and in oral formats), facilitation and presentation skills.
- Interest for new technologies and fast learner.
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
Things that would definitely help
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing is a strong asset.
- Prior experience of RapidResponse a strong asset.
- Proficiency and experience in JavaScript or similar is a strong asset.
- In‐depth knowledge of ERP or MRP software an asset
