Full-Time Faculty Position in Anthropology at Bennington College

Bennington College invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Anthropology with an expected start date in Fall 2025. The area of concentration within sociocultural anthropology is open, and of particular interest are scholars who complement Bennington’s current offerings. Bennington’s focus on student-centered learning means we particularly appreciate scholars who take an interdisciplinary approach to anthropology and employ multidisciplinary research strategies. A focus outside of, or extending beyond, the Americas is preferred. Bennington faculty are teacher-practitioners, maintaining personal research and publication agendas. Responsibilities include teaching five courses per academic year, academic advising and service work. A PhD at the start of contract is required, teaching experience preferred.
