Our team is committed to providing the best-in-class in . We are looking for a skilled Senior System Engineer with a strong focus on Azure to join our Observability team.
As an Azure System Engineer you’ll get a chance to contribute to the success of our Observability team: to develop monitoring, logging and incident alerts solutions for our Managed Hosting service, and to contribute to a reliable and performant enterprise-grade Observability Platform.
** Please note, We are working in a hybrid model - at least twice a week you will be working from the office in Kraków.**
What you'll do
- Contribute to our state-of-the-art monitoring- and alerting system.
- Manage and optimize Azure resources to support observability tools and frameworks, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Bring a deep understanding of how to develop an architecture to support visibility, detection, mitigation and observability capabilities.
- Ensure that the Observability Platform always runs in a compliant, secure and cost-effective way.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for observability solutions, including incident reports, and performance metrics.
- Work closely with other teams and customers to integrate observability features neatly into our Managed Hosting offering, and support a culture of continuous improvement.
The Backbase as a Service team is continuously busy with improving their product with the motto "You build it, you run it". Striving for great uptime, great performance and operational excellence. That's quite an ambition and you can't get there without an automation-first approach.
We pride ourselves on the fact that we don't do manual changes in production and that we automatically validate all our changes before deploying.
Who you are
- You have a deep understanding and hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, preferably Terraform or OpenTofu;
- You are proficient with Kubernetes, Helm, and familiar with incident response platforms like PagerDuty and are comfortable doing hands-on work with those;
- You are passionate about your craft and exhibit good collaboration skills;
- You are an automation-first connoisseur. Not content with anything manual, your goal is to make every process predictable and automated;
- Not content with just reporting issues, you want to fix them;
- You have excellent communication skills in English;
- Minimum 3 years in a similar role running workloads on public cloud;
- Azure cloud certifications are a nice-to-have (Azure Administrator/Azure Solution Architect).
