As the Accounting Compliance Manager at Aprio Philippines, you will ensure that all accounting practices align with regulatory standards and internal policies. You will lead compliance audits, oversee financial reporting, and work closely with cross-functional teams to address and manage risks.
 
This position demands a comprehensive understanding of both local and international accounting regulations, strong analytical abilities, and the capability to spearhead initiatives that strengthen Aprio's compliance framework. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the company's compliance with local and national regulatory requirements 
  • Ensures data accuracy and timeliness related to payment of taxes to the Bureau of Internal Revenue
  • Work with government agencies such as BIR, CDC, SEC, BOI related to corporate compliance  
  • Liaise with the external auditors during annual audit and ensures quality of work
  • Point of contact during tax audit and liaise with the revenue officers
  • Collaborate with Finance and Accounting Manager to ensure full regulatory compliance                                                                                         
  • Create and set forth financial and accounting policies and processes
  • Determining the tax implications of possible corporate actions and contracts
  • Collaborating with practice group and department leaders within the organization
  • Safeguard the company from any potential tax issues and risk exposure
  • Provide tax planning, strategy and up to date knowledge related to tax laws

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting. CPA is required
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in full-cycle accounting and compliance
  • Thorough understanding of financial benchmarking, accounting, auditing, tax compliance, and other regulatory matters
  • Experience with accounting systems (such as Xero) is required.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven process improvement mindset required
  • Must have prior experience working in the Shared Services/BPO Industry or an accounting firm
  • Willing to work on a hybrid setup (Clark, Pampanga)
