MVP Consulting Plus, Inc. (Albany, NY) seeks Business Analyst to oversee the requirements analysis effort related to implementation of client software projects and programs involving case management, and payment functionality. Review department system and processes for the purposes of development of process flows, requirements, and specifications, and apply systems optimizing methods to inform decision-making and policy formulation on the management level. Develop project and system documentation, and criteria for evaluation of strategies. Communicate project milestones and deliverables. Use statistical analysis, simulations, predictive modeling, or other business analysis tools to analyze information and develop practical solutions to business problems. Use computer software, databases, and statistical packages to evaluate courses of action for the various projects mentioned above. Use business analysis methodology, processes, toolkit and tools including but not limited to context diagrams, process flows, use cases, requirements traceability matrix, user interface specifications and mock-ups. Assist with test planning for integrated systems. Review work products to ensure system planning, design, and delivery are in line with business needs. Liaise with relevant stakeholders, including agency and subject matter experts, users, and executive teams to ensure business needs are met.
Requirements: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science/Computer Engineering, Engineering Technology or Engineering Management, or a related technical field. Two (2) years of experience in business analysis/system analysis/data analysis, including experience in: requirements analysis with a focus on quality assurance and adherence to SDLC policies; using databases such as DB2, Sybase, and/or SQL; and using requirements management tools such as Agile, Scrum, DOORS, RTC, Rational Requisite Pro, and MS Visio.
