Senior Manager, Search Marketing Analytics

Wayfair is looking for a data-driven, technical Senior Manager of Search Marketing Analytics to join our team and lead our advanced analytics pod. As a vital part of Wayfair's Search marketing team, this position will focus on developing and owning the roadmap for our technical pod, guiding the team through advanced analysis, predictive model development, and the creation of proprietary tools and services aimed at increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of our Search marketing team. This is a highly dynamic and visible role, with responsibility for building relationships with multiple stakeholders across the Search marketing and marketing technology organization.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and own the roadmap for the Search Marketing Analytics team, sourcing input and requirements from channel leaders across the organization
• Oversee a team of technical search marketing analysts and drive their tasks and deliverables
• Stay informed about leading analytical technologies and techniques, working these methods into relevant workstreams and coaching analysts as they learn new methods
• Conduct and lead deep analysis of search marketing performance, synthesize the learnings and communicate next steps/action plans to turn insight into results
• Apply advanced models, such as Natural Language Processes (NLP), to improve ad quality, customer experience, and team efficiency through the development of decisioning models as well as bespoke applications. 
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality and influence data architecture and design decisions
• Work closely with Data Science and Marketing technology teams to productionize applications and models, influencing roadmaps and securing resources for achieve the team and organization's goals. 
• Coach and mentor a team of analysts, encouraging them to increase their skill sets

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or other quantitative disciplines 
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in data-driven, technical marketing, data science, engineering or similar fields
• Experience in working with large datasets (TB’s)
• Strong understanding of SQL and proficiency in Python (preferred) or R 
• Understanding of intermediate statistical and predictive modeling concepts (AB Tests, Linear and Logistic Regressions, Clustering, Random Forests, Neural Networks, etc…)
• Excellent communication skills and a team player; experience leading a team preferred
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and determination
