Game Mathematician

In this pivotal role, you will design and develop mathematical models that form the backbone of our slot game mechanics, ensuring an optimal balance of entertainment and fairness for players. Your expertise in probability, statistics, and game theory will directly contribute to creating immersive and engaging player experiences.

As a Game Mathematician, you will work closely with the Game Producers, developers, and artists to conceptualize, prototype, and refine game mechanics. You will ensure the games adhere to both creative aspirations and regulatory requirements, while also optimizing for performance and player retention.

Responsibilities:

• Design mathematical models for slot games, balancing player engagement and operational metrics.

• Collaborate with designers and developers to translate game concepts into engaging mechanics.

• Analyse game performance data to refine and enhance mathematical models.

• Ensure game logic adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Innovate new features and mechanics that set our games apart in the competitive market.

• Develop simulations and calculation programs for various game mechanics, both existing and new.

• Prepare and document detailed mathematical analyses required for technical approvals

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in mathematics.

• Strong knowledge of Combinatorics, Probability Theory, and Statistics.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Javascript or Python, and advanced Excel capabilities.

• Familiarity with game mechanics, player psychology, and industry trends.

• Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

• Strong communication skills to articulate complex mathematical concepts to non-technical team members.
  

Preferred Skills:

• Proven experience in the iGaming industry or a related field.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

• Experience with tools like Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence.

• Knowledge of additional programming languages (C/C++/R) and a working understanding of Linux.
