Job Title: Logistics Specialist – International Shipping & Compliance

As we expand our business in India, we are seeking a talented Logistics Specialist to join our dynamic team.
Your Impact:
As a Logistics Specialist at Fictiv, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that our customers—leading innovators—receive the parts they need to build the future. You will bridge the gap between our builders and manufacturing partners, driving efficiency and excellence in our international shipping processes. Your role will be crucial in managing the export of high-quality parts from India to the United States, while ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
What You'll Do:
- Coordinate International Shipments: Manage the import/export of Injection Molded and CNC Machined parts, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery from India to the U.S.
- Problem-Solving: Monitor cargo transit, address shipping complaints, customs delays, and resolve any delivery issues.
- Documentation & Compliance: Administer and oversee import/export documentation, ensuring adherence to international customs regulations.
- Vendor Partnership: Collaborate with freight forwarders, transportation integrators, and other partners to optimize shipment efficiency and cost.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with Fictiv’s manufacturing partners and internal teams to ensure seamless logistics operations and integration with overall workflows.
- Cost Management: Identify and implement strategies for cost savings while maintaining high service standards.
- Process Improvement: Develop and document standard operating procedures, driving continuous improvement in logistics processes.
- KPI Management: Establish and maintain key performance metrics for the logistics department.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: 5+ years in international logistics, with a strong understanding of India's import/export requirements and customs practices.
- Expertise: Knowledge of HTS classification, Country of Origin, Free Trade Agreements, and customs valuation.
- Operational Setup: Experience in establishing logistics operations in new geographies.
- Communication: Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-Oriented: Meticulous, with a keen eye for detail in all aspects of logistics operations.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, working effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Resilience: Ability to perform under pressure and lead in challenging situations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, with strong analytical capabilities.
Preferred Background:
- Experience with a customs broker, freight forwarder, or small parcel carriers like UPS, FedEx, or DHL.
- Expertise in exporting mechanical parts from India.
Physical Demands:
- Sitting for extended periods.
Travel Expectations:
- Minimal travel required (0-10%).
