What we’re looking for...

FUNKIN Cocktails are looking for a NPD Manager to play a critical role in the team by helping bring our innovation plans to fruition, having ownership of new and existing product development projects and gaining exposure across the business right up to Managing Director level. 

Your responsibilities will include...

• Manage allocated New and Existing product development projects
• Drive innovation through knowledge of ingredients, technologies and competitors
• Execute innovation projects to plan, in budget and on time from prototyping to launch
• Collaborate with quality and packaging teams on trials and new technologies
• Coordinate Sensory evaluations and consumer testing 
• Develop continuous improvement projects through ideation to shelf
• Coordinate and manage factory trials, scale-ups and launches including protocols and reports
• Advise on nutritional labelling and artwork
• Liaise with external organisations on research projects and testing protocols
• Work in a multifunctional and multi-level project team bringing projects to market
• Occasional visits to our national and international manufacturing network

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

• Passion for innovation and cocktails
• Formulation experience is essential. Experience with beverages and alcoholic drinks is highly desirable
• Experience managing NPD/EPD projects supported by a solid understanding of food science and manufacturing processes
• Experience in completing successful projects into a food manufacturing environment
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment
• Degree in Food Science or related discipline or equivalent technical managing food development projects
• A good understanding of good manufacturing practices and food quality assurance systems. HACCP Level 2 highly desirable
• Excellent presentation and project management skills
• Able to communicate effectively at all organisation levels
