Job Summary
Ideal candidate will be able to successfully produce quality welds and will also be mechanically inclined to assist in the assembling of electrical transformers.
Job Duties/Requirements
- Read blueprints, schematics and engineering prints to perform all aspects of layout, fitting, cutting and welding operations.
- Extensive knowledge of all types of welding (MIG, TIG, etc.) and cutting equipment (Plasma cutter/press brake/shearer).
- Knowledgeable in Arc Flash and PPE in welding shop environment.
- Proficient in using multiple types of hand tools for all aspects of joining operation including Mig, Air Arc, stick welding, brazing, etc.
- Mechanically inclined and willing to learn and cross train.
- Simple Math aptitude.
- Must be able to lift at least 45 lbs. climb ladders, operate forklift, crane.
- Candidates will weld the following: Transformer Tanks ( similar to Frac Tanks), Covers, Frames and Accessories, etc.
