The Opportunity
The Laboratory Systems Administrator works closely with all internal team members on daily operational and system functions and maintenance of REGENXBIO laboratory and manufacturing systems in a GxP regulated environment. Qualified candidates will have experience working in labs and clean rooms on computerized scientific or biopharma manufacturing equipment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Performs day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades of validated laboratory and manufacturing systems.
- Responsible for troubleshooting, incident management, servicing, maintenance, or other support functions for software or firmware associated with laboratory systems including OS upgrades, patch management, and system security.
- Serves as technical subject matter expert in support of validated laboratory and manufacturing equipment.
- Participating in audit situations and ensuring appropriate responses.
- Analyze system requirements and presents design and process changes to management.
- Write and maintain custom scripts to automate routine processes and tasks to increase system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Create and maintain documentation for validated systems.
- Provide 1st level support for laboratory systems.
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation as needed.

We set our employees up for success. To be successful in this role and help us achieve our goals, we are looking for someone with the following skills and qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical domain is preferred.
- Must possess outstanding interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Pharma/biopharma/QC processes (chromatography, lab instrumentation) and experience working in a GxP regulated environment with understanding of computer validation and change control processes is required.
- A working knowledge of lab applications such as SoftMaxPro, Unicorn, Empower, ViCell is preferred.
- Working knowledge of System Center Configuration Manager is preferred.
- Experience supporting Zebra printers and hand-held scanners is preferred.
- Must possess strong OS troubleshooting ability: performance monitoring and experience reading/parsing through logs.
- Must possess computer repair experience: diagnosing hardware failures, replacing components, and handling RMAs
- Experience with ISO27001 and ITIL processes is preferred.
- Must possess experience following lab gowning and safety procedures.
- Must have the ability to manage vendors, software licenses, and application upgrades.
- Must have the ability and willingness to learn new technology and tools to help users meet needs and become more effective.
- Must be able to troubleshoot/diagnose issues as arisen.
