Founded in 2017, Unit8 is a fast-growing Swiss AI and data analytics consulting and services company dedicated to solving complex problems of traditional industries like automotive, chemical, financial services, manufacturing and pharma. We work with some of the biggest organizations in Europe to solve the challenges that directly affect their business - be it operations, finance, manufacturing or R&D. Since our foundation, we have successfully delivered more than 160 projects and have grown to 100+ talented individuals across 5 office locations.
Unit8’s mission is to drive the adoption of AI and Data Science in the non-digital industries and to help accelerate their digital transformation. Among its activities, Unit8 dedicates a part of its resources and time on projects that deeply matter to us - that includes collaboration on pro-bono and “engineering for good” causes.

What You’ll Do
We are looking for a Business Development Intern to strengthen our team for a six-month internship in Zurich. As part of Growth we’re responsible for designing and executing all strategies and Go-To-Market (GTM), Sales, Marketing, & Partnerships activities. We’re looking for a driven, Data/AI enthusiast with a can-do attitude who’s willing to bring their own ideas and challenge the status quo.
What You’ll Do
As a valued member of the Growth team, you will have the opportunity to directly impact Unit8’s revenue. In a high-growth, fast moving company your responsibilities will include...
- Strategic sales support:
- Deliver customer segment insights & market research to feed the Sales funnel
- Support Senior BD leads with formulating offers & client presentations in acquiring new business
- Design effective sales campaigns in collaboration with Marketing to promote our offering & drive online KPIs
- Thought leadership:
- Publish articles that leverage the latest insights on applying AI to solve business problems from our client work
- Collaborate with the technical, consulting and marketing teams to devise asset planning and production
- Support Senior BD leads with creating Sales collateral
- Partnerships & event management
- End-to-end ownership of partnership & event activities
- Plan, coordinate and execute Unit8’s participation at key events for driving new business
- For both industry events and Unit8 events
Are You the team member we are looking for?
In order to be successful in this role, you are/have:
- 1-2 years of experience as a business analyst, business consultant roles (including other internships)
- Academics background is open but preferred is Business Management
- Self-driven with can-do attitude
- Good grip on building slides/storylines
- Ability to translate a complex matter into understandable formats
- Comfortable writing texts/writing content
- The candidate is fluent in English and German (mandatory).

- Data & AI knowledge / experiences
- Past experiences in a consulting / IT environment
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time (mostly Switzerland and DACH region)
- Based out of Zurich
- Looking for a six-month internship with the possibility of continuing cooperation after its completion.
