Quant Researcher

The Role

As a Quant Researcher, you will develop data solutions that power both our trading and data businesses, leveraging MarketAxess' proprietary platform data. You will help build out our suite of products including data analytics, our award-winning CP+ pricing, and other AI-driven solutions that address key trading decisions: What, How and When to trade, as well as Who to trade with. Your work will be a combination of long-term and immediate impact projects, with the goal of making the fixed income trading landscape more efficient, transparent, and competitive. 

How You’ll Help Take Us There

• Partner with the MarketAxess Global Client and Dealer Sales teams to provide tailored data insights that enhance trading execution for clients and dealers. Act as a trusted partner to the sales teams, empowering them with the quantitative analysis and data-driven solutions needed to support their clients' success and grow MarketAxess' market share in the region.
• Analyzing bond market activity and market micro-structure, including MarketAxess’ proprietary data.
• Take ownership of existing research models and reports like Transaction Costs Analysis, CP+, Tradability and other data products.
• Develop new models and reports.
• Collaborate closely with global product and development teams to enrich client trading solutions.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience as a quant or a data scientist within financial services.
• Proficiency in programming languages and tools commonly used for quantitative analysis and data manipulation, such as R, Python, and SQL.
• Deep understanding of fixed income market dynamics and ability to apply quantitative techniques to solve real-world trading problems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience applying advanced Machine Learning and AI techniques (Deep Learning, Tree based models, Reinforcement Learning).
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS and data visualization tools like Tableau is also highly desirable.
