Hire Resolve's client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Principal Chemist specializing in mining to join their team in Gauteng, South Africa. As a Principal Chemist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing chemical processes and technologies to optimize mining operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of chemists and technicians in the development and implementation of chemical processes for mining operations.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions to address operational challenges.
- Provide technical expertise and support to mining teams on a wide range of chemical-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory authorities.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in chemical processes and technologies.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Master's degree in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry.
- 10 years' experience in a similar role.
- A PHD Qualification in Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry would be advantageous
- Proficient in SAP, MS Office, MINITAB (or similar statistical software), and LIMS.
- Proficient in analytical techniques for chemical analysis and quality control.
- Valid Drivers' License
