JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Valid license as Registered Nurse: completion of Nurse Practitioner program & certified by Ohio Board of Nursing for advanced practice with valid certificate of authority & certificate to prescribe in accordance with ORC 4723.Note: Licensed Practical Nurses who administer dialysis treatment must possess Certification in IV Therapy pursuant to Section 4723.17 Ohio Revised Code.
Must pass a urine drug screen.
Must pass a background check.
Must obtain a DEA license within your 1st 30days.
JOB DUTIES:
Provide professional nursing care to offenders housed in a state-owned facility.
Responsible for the health care of inmates.
Participates in staff development and education.
Provides clinical direction to registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, phlebotomists, and other caregivers.
Performs clerical tasks (charts, records all medications, treatments, and any pertinent medical information.)
