We are looking for an experienced Requirements Consultant for Benefits Administration to join our team. The Requirements Consultant will be responsible for working with external clients during the implementation cycle as well as internal clients during our product management cycles to complete the analysis and design of the applicable Benefits Administration solutions. The Senior Requirements Consultant will serve as the liaison between the client or business and technical teams to ensure that requirements are properly documented, validated, and implemented.
THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
- Work with external clients to gather, document, present and validate system and business requirements with the goal to support successful outcomes for client and Green Shield teams during client onboarding.
- Work with internal clients to gather, document, present and validate requirements for Product changes and enhancements with the goal to inform product development work as well as QA work.
- Conduct interviews and surveys to collect data and analyze it to identify and understand a problem or issue.
- Understand client issues, needs, short- and long-term goals to help inform requirements.
- Influence client decisions to support automation and long-term viable solutions.
- Liaise with client vendors and other stakeholders as needed.
- Review requirements for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide input on best practices and technical features that lead to effective and efficient benefits administration.
- Identify and recommend systems or process improvements.
- Develop and maintain system test plans and ensure they are successfully executed.
- Develop and maintain user manuals and other documentation to support client and business partners including Client Success team.
- Train end users on the use of Benefits Administration systems.
- Develop and maintain Requirements / Business Analyst toolset (templates, procedures, best practices).
- Stay current with industry trends and new development related to Benefits Administration.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Completes other tasks and projects as required.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum 5years experience in the benefit administration industry
- Highly organized and process oriented.
- Excellent at managing client relationships and resolving problems.
- Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills.
- Ability to bring structure to ambiguous situations.
- Ability to adjust approach as needed based on experience and knowledge of the clients you are working with.
- Can adapt to new information and change approach to achieve objectives as needed.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, yet also work independently on complex implementations.
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced, high-pressureenvironment.
- Passionate about quality and continuous improvement, with an emphasis on creating solutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Project, Word, Visio and PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s Degree or experience otherwise equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.
- Experience working with implementation methodologies and/or equivalent project management methodologies.
- Strong organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Keenattention to detail.
- Self-starter and ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team approach.
- Ability to communicate with others, including clients, in a clear, effective, and professional manner on the phone, via email and in person, and the demonstrated use of good written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to prioritize workload and work effectively with minimal supervision; demonstrated ability to work concurrently on multiple projects with several teams
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with iBenefits or other benefits administration solutions
- Bilingualism (English & French)
- CEBS Designation
- Working knowledge of project management framework (agile or waterfall).
