Application Architect

Job description:
Application Architect for ESIS will be responsible for the enablement and alignment of Client's reference architecture models and capabilities and their adoption for an effective design and development of solutions and their integration into targeted business ecosystems for ESIS that are delivered internally or externally with trading partners and direct to ESIS clients. Reporting to the CIO for ESIS, with a matrix report to Client's Head of Architecture for North America, the incumbent will lead and manage architecture oversight, design and protocols across the ESIS portfolio and client service expectations and requirements.
Responsibilities
• Working closely with ESIS product management, sales and partnerhsip serivces review and develop flexible, adaptable, modular and reusable or customer business solution architecture designs to meet customer requirements and align to overall best practices and frameworks
• Working closing with ESIS product management and product development design solutions and roadmaps on applications transformation and modernisation.
• Support evolution of Client's architecture blueprints & reference models and facilitate their enablement and adoption within the enterprise.
• Implement appropriate solution architecture governance processes and tools while maintaining a key focus on design patterns and technology standards.
• Maintain a repository of architecture assets (Platforms, Services, APIs) and promote effective reuse across the enterprise.
• Act as an enabler of Agile and DevOps practices in collaboration with product management and product development teams.
• Explore, evaluate and promote technology innovation within the enterprise.
• Evaluate, learn and assist teams with open source technology solutions.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Effective communication skills with the ability to interact and adapt to different stakeholders including colleagues, clients and 3rd party business partners
• Service provider experience a plus
• Bachelor's Degree
• Extensive knowledge and experience of claims platform architectures, from blueprint to solution design and implementation
• Experience in development of architecture methodologies and standards
• Experience in application modularisation and modernisation including adoption of Micro Service Architecture models
• Experience in Integration Architectures from Service Bus to API Mediation and Event Bus models
• Experience in Information Security and Risk Management
• Experience in cloud solution design and implementation of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS and hybrid models
• Understanding of platform design and technology considerations to build out an ecosystem to support a multi-tenant business service model
• Experience in modern programming languages including JavaScript based frameworks like Node.js, React.js and/or Angular
