Our Machine Learning Career Track is looking to hire part-time mock interviewers to support students in the course.
**Mock interviews are all 1 hour video calls.**
There are three types of mock interviews:
- 1-Hour Coding Interview
- Description: The coding interview tests the candidate’s ability to solve problems programmatically. This includes clarifying what is being asked, knowledge of algorithms and data structures, and coding skills such as correctness, testing, debugging, and code quality. The interviewer should prepare to give two questions: one on data transformation\engineering and one on data structures\algorithms.
- 1-Hour ML Project Walkthrough Interview
- Description: The project walkthrough is the students’ chance to go deep on a subject they are knowledgeable about. The interview is supposed to give a holistic view of the entire machine learning system (or application) they built covering all steps - the problem to be solved - translated as an appropriate ML problem, data collection and cleaning, exploratory data analysis (EDA) and feature engineering along with any data transformation pipelines they may have built, model development - training, tuning, and evaluation, and deployment and system design.
- 1-Hour ML Architecture/Problem-Solving Interview
- Description: The Machine Learning (ML) architecture/problem-solving interview assesses a candidate’s ability to design an end-to-end machine learning system from the ground up. This interview is also a chance for the interviewer to see if they would enjoy collaborating with the candidate as a teammate. This interview can be considered as the machine learning analog of the traditional system design interview.
