Position: Field Service Engineer
As a Field Service Engineer for the Northern France, Benelux, and Northern Germany, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and servicing our advanced robotic systems. You’ll provide technical support to customers, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure our solutions operate at peak performance. This role offers the chance to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to transforming industrial automation across Europe.
Responsibilities:
- Service Execution: Perform repairs, installation, commissioning, and routine maintenance of equipment independently across various service categories.
- Technical Problem-Solving: Identify and analyze technical issues through remote or on-site activities, providing effective solutions.
- Customer Engagement: Answer complex technical questions and collaborate with customers to troubleshoot problems, ensuring high satisfaction.
- Sales Opportunity Identification: Maintain strong customer relationships and communicate potential sales opportunities internally.
- Integrity and Independence: Work with minimal supervision while demonstrating a high level of integrity in all tasks.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety rules and environmental responsibilities, reporting any unsafe practices or incidents promptly.
Requirements:
- 5-8 years of experience with automated machinery, preferably in robotics, printing machines, or logistics systems.
- Ability to work with all levels of electrical voltage, including single and three-phase motors.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and repair problems effectively.
- Ability to understand and navigate PLC and servo motor drive control software, along with basic PLC programming knowledge.
- Ability to comprehend and demonstrate mechanical assembly and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to perform manual assembly of basic machine components and subassemblies.
- Good electro/mechanical knowledge, with the ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Basic understanding of computer IT and communications.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building rapport with personnel and vendors, demonstrating ethical behavior and good judgment.
- Excellent communication skills, effective time management, and the ability to handle stress professionally while being open to constructive feedback.
- Fluent in English, with effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- Fluent French is an additional asset
