They are now looking to hire a Construction Estimator who will play a pivotal role in shaping the client's projects through precise estimation and comprehensive assessment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Detailed Takeoffs: Conduct comprehensive and precise takeoffs from architectural drawings, ensuring all materials, labor, and equipment requirements are accurately accounted for.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and well-organized estimating documentation, ensuring accessibility for the project team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, designers, and other stakeholders to provide essential support during project development.
- Cost Analysis: Continuously assess project costs, making necessary adjustments during the estimating process to maximize profitability.
- Value Engineering: Collaborate with the project team to identify cost-saving opportunities and propose value engineering solutions without compromising quality.
- Prepare tender scope of works.
- Compare construction changes between drawing revisions.
- Work will also be for live design & construct projects needing costing, as well as detailed variations.
- Manage tender portals, both client portals and our own.
Requirements
- Construction Management/ Quantity surveying degree (preferable).
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a construction estimating role.
- Proficiency in utilizing Bluebeam Revu for efficient project estimation.
- Strong command of MS Word and MS Excel for effective documentation and analysis.
- A proactive willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
- A positive "can-do" attitude that thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Impeccable attention to detail to ensure accuracy at every stage.
