The Product Director for Local Government will be responsible for the strategy, vision and execution of our product delivery within the division; working closely with cross functional teams to ensure that product development aligns with business strategy and needs, aligning to Civica’s strategy and OKRs.   

Leading a team of product managers, you will collaborate with engineering and commercial teams and oversee strategic direction. You will oversee the lifecycle management of Civica's diverse product portfolio in Local Government, ensuring alignment with our company mission and vision of becoming a global GovTech champion, whilst delivering critical products and services to citizens around the world.  

Bringing hands on execution of the product strategy across a suite of products, ensuring that product development practices and roadmaps are aligned to global vision, to maximise productivity and growth.   

This is a senior leadership role that requires a hands-on approach, strategic thinking, problem solving skills and stakeholder management experience, and an ability to operate in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.   

What you will do to be successful in this role as Product Director 

• Coach and lead a team of Product Managers to deliver high quality products in line with product roadmaps 

• Develop and maintain a strategic vision for the product portfolio, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business strategy 

• Own the consolidated Product roadmap, ensuring it meets market demands and supports the company’s long-term goals across geographies  

• Collaborate with engineering and commercial teams to develop product roadmaps and offerings that align with broader business objectives, pipelines and OKRs 

• Responsible for product suite ROI and strategic delivery  

• Bring transparency and alignment across the organisation regarding product priorities and progress 

• Setting product vision and working closely with multi-disciplined teams to deliver world-class products 

• Using data-driven insights to grow products that meet customer needs and drive business growth 

• Play a key role in defining divisional product strategy and ensuring that all products meet the company’s high standards for quality and user experience 

Core competencies: 

• Strong Product Management skills, with extensive experience in a Product Management leadership role 

• Proven track record of developing and executing product strategies that drive business growth ensuring alignment with strategic goals 

• Experience in product led, SaaS / digital organisations, launching and growing multiple products 

• Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team of product managers 

• Proven ability to work effectively with commercial teams and senior management as well as cross-functional teams including design, user research and engineering  

• Demonstratable experience setting and delivering OKRs and KPIs 

• Deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions 

• Strong grasp of business fundamentals, including financial principles and metrics, to ensure the product strategy drives business growth
